This story is part of Episode 40 (Season 2, Episode 23, "Vacation Terror"), originally aired on Jan. 21, 2005. www.tv.com The story centers around Ryan and Leelin Taboada, and their children, John and Veronica, during a trip through Roanoke, VA, in March, 2003. While unpacking their luggage at a hotel, Ryan was shot by a gunman, who carjacked the family's vehicle with the Taboadas' young daughter, Veronica, in the back seat.
